We DID it!

Despite the fact that Tyler was sick with food poisoning 24 hours prior to the race, and I haven't run as far as the mailbox and back in the last 4 years we ran the Bolder Boulder today and it was a total blast! ( I can't feel my legs, and I may not be able to get out of bed tomorrow, but hey, it was totally worth it!) JoEllen, Clarke, Tyler, Skip and I all started together and met up at the Folsom Stadium in CU! Congrats Skip for your big Victory....(He won out of our group and Clarke promised him text messaging if he could beat him.... Yippie Skippy!)

GhostBuster Skit

GhostBusters Skit.... oh the joys of being a teacher/drummer

Kindergarten Graduation

Kindergarten Graduation

I was lucky enough to MC the program....it went great...I only wanted to turn around and smack the kids on the front row four times
(clearly they weren't as quiet as my classes who were sitting in the back row)

These are the other two Kindergarten Teachers
Miss Allison...isn't she adorable! She made me feel like Mrs. America with these pretty flowers.
This is little Andrew. He is such a cutie...

(His name is andrew...he wears cowboy boots every day to school, and he's holding his diploma upside down) so cute I'm going to miss sweet Austin

Oh if your wondering why my hair is all crimped out!!! Please see the video clip below featuring the talent show act that I was apart of that same day. I had to go all out for my 80's drummer bit.

Sorry to post about Kindergarten again!!! But it's been my life for the past year...and I've LOVED IT. A few days ago we had our graduation...and I am glad it is all over. The past year has flown by....Thanks Queen and Andrew for surviving graduation and for all your help and support this year.

The Circus

So on Friday we turned our Kindergarten classrooms into the Circus. All of our kids came with acts to perform for eachother. We had magicians, dancing Zebras, ballerinas, stuffed animals flying through hoops, Cheetah tamers, and fire fighters. :) I love being a Kindergarten teacher. The only downfall is that I have completely lost my voice!! Woops, hopefully it comes back soon, so my Kindergartners can hear me on Monday. Lots of love. Jo

Oh and Andrew came up with the great idea to wear his jeans and basketball shoes! Wow did I ever feel like a real clown.

California Sun

Oh what a perfect vacation California was. I just wanted to show everyone how cute little Will is. Even though you guys all saw him a couple of weeks ago. Anyone who wants to move to California with me I'm down... I (tawny speaking) could get use to the sun and beach on a regular weekend basis. Love and miss you all. I'm glad England is just around the corner.

Git 'er done...

No offense Chase, but I'm sick of looking at the freaky photo booth pic of you, so I decided to post on the perhaps forgotten Carlson Family blog. It was such a fun weekend seeing everyone, but we did miss Tawny and Andrew! Here are a few pics I didn't put on our blog because I got sick of uploading them!

Bright eyed and bushy tailed after Grandma's party.

Two cute redheads!

Brooklyn sharing her dad with Will...

Skippy & Miss Anya...

Clarke doing a great job talking about Grandma Shirley.

"Extreme Carlson" #1 with "Extreme Carlson" #2 (Heidi's term... ask her for a definition...)

Brooklyn with her matching flower.

Rock on with yo' bad selves Carlson boys.

Tickle time.

As for the title of this post... it's a call to git 'er done and actually POST on this blog. Especially the ones without their own blogs! We love to see pics and hear what's going on.

Love you all.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentines Day!!!!

A few years ago my sweet father got my mom the largest heart shaped balloon for Valentine's Day. A few weeks ago I mentioned that story to Andrew. And guess what I got on Valentine's Day?

The largest balloon I've ever seen. The only question Andrew asked was....Is it bigger than the one your Dad got your Mom? haha oh I love my sweet husband.
P.S. don't worry if Andrew also bought me my Kitchen Aid mixer off our wedding registry....(with our wedding credit) awww he finally let me have it! sweetie

Happy Valentine's everyone!

Zero the Hero

So in my Kindergarten class, we have been keeping track of how many days we have been in school. Every tenth day this little puppet named 'zero the hero' magically appears in our classroom. He brings us treats and mystifies the children....well i started telling them that the real zero the hero would come on the 100th day of school. I got andrew to agree to come dressed up like zero the hero until my students started calling me out on it saying it was just going to be my husband (whom they had met)...i was up a creek until i remembered my sweet heroic like brother (chase) who would do just about anything for anybody. Including fly around my elementary school as a hero.

End of story....My class with Zero the Hero whom they loved and have been writing letters to ever since.

Thank you Zero the Hero.

7 months of marriage

7 MONTHS

Wow its been forever since we've posted anything! It's a darn good thing we don't have our own blog. Last week we celebrated our 7 month Anniversary. And when I say celebrated, I mean we ordered 'take out Cafe Rio' (I Chose not to cook) and went to bed at nine! I LOVE MARRIED LIFE.

We were also able to go to the Symphony this past week with our best friends Matt and Lindsey Bauman. It was fun to escape Provo and to spend time with friends. We miss you all and can't wait for the family to be together over Presidents Weekend.

Will's Weekend

Thanks so much for coming this weekend for Will's blessing! It was a fun weekend and so nice to have everyone there. (Tawny and Andrew, we missed you and can't wait to see you soon!). Here are a few cute pictures from the weekend...
